Six new council homes have now been completed at Tudor Close - and the residents have moved into their new homes.
The six new council homes - now named Tessa Jowell Court - are part of Haringey Council's ambitious plan to build 3,000 new council homes by 2031. Already, nearly 200 (including the six homes at Tessa Jowell Court) have been completed, and 2,000 are underway at sites across the borough.
Like other local authorities, Haringey has a huge demand for affordable homes, with 12,500 households on our housing waiting list, including many households with children. The building programme aims to address our residents' housing needs, and includes family-sized homes, properties specifically adapted for the needs of their new residents, supported housing (such as for residents who have experienced rough sleeping). You can find out more about our programme, here.
Our contractor for Tessa Jowell Court, NFC Homes, has now completed all the works. You can read more about the new homes here. We would like to say thank you for all your patience during the works.
The Tudor Close project pages will soon be archived.
